When you contact our office for your first obstetrical appointment, you will be asked to schedule two appointments.
Your first appointment will be with our obstetrical educator for a "Nurse Talk". (Please arrive 25-30 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time to complete paperwork.) She will gather information about your past medical history, current pregnancy and educates you on prenatal care. She will discuss with you many pregnancy related topics during this visit. After the visit with our obstetrical educator, if you are between 6-12 weeks gestation, you will have an ultrasound performed by our licensed ultrasonographer. Finally, you will be sent to a laboratory facility to have obstetrical bloodwork drawn after you have completed your appointment in our office. You should allow at least 1-2 hours for this appointment.
Your second appointment will be scheduled one week after the "Nurse Talk" appointment. This appointment will be scheduled with a physician of your choice. The physician will perform a physical exam at this appointment.
All follow-up appointments will be scheduled appropriately per the instructions from the physicians.
